Welcome to Apt Resources! Our client, the Royal Palace, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Animal Keeper to join their prestigious team. As a member of the Royal Palace’s animal care department, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a variety of exotic animals and contribute to their overall well-being and conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily care of animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning their living areas
  • Engage in behavioral enrichment activities to promote the physical and mental well-being of the animals
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the senior animal keepers
  • Assist with veterinary procedures and handling of animals as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering visitor questions and giving educational presentations

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with a wide range of animals, including exotic and/or endangered species
  • Passion for animal welfare and conservation
  • Strong knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and general care
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse audience
  • Physical fitness and endurance to perform the required tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to represent the Royal Palace with integrity and professionalism
